The Osmond Brothers
Osmondmania
Saturday, July 11, 2009
Five decades ago, four young boys were flashed across national television screens on what was meant to be a one-time shot at "the big time." That single appearance led to such an overwhelming mail response that for the following seven seasons, the Osmond Brothers became regulars on the Andy Williams Show. From that point on, their name alone became synonymous with the "big time" and everything associated with it. Surely to be one of the biggest hits of the season!

An Evening with Joan Baez
Special Event
Monday, July 13, 2009
2008 and 2009 are landmark years for Joan Baez, respectively marking 50 years since she began her legendary residency at Boston’s famed Club 47 and 50 years since she made her debut at the 1959 Newport Folk Festival. Her earliest recordings fed a host of traditional ballads into the rock vernacular, before she unselfconsciously introduced Bob Dylan to the world in 1963. Amongst the many honors bestowed upon her, she has most recently been the recipient of the highly prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, the greatest honor that the Recording Academy can bestow (2007). Day After Tomorrow, her first new studio album in five years (released September 9, 2008) has been praised by critics and was nominated for a Grammy award.

Crystal Gayle
Wednesday, July 29, 2009
Crystal Gayle’s way with music is hardly surprising considering her life story. With almost three dozen hit records to her credit, she has come a long way from her roots in the Appalachian coal mining town of Paintsville, Kentucky. The youngest of eight children, as a small child, she sang along with Lesley Gore, Brenda Lee, and Patsy Cline on the radio. Later, the Beatles and Peter, Paul, and Mary exerted powerful creative influences. Loretta Lynn, Crystal’s older sister, also encouraged her. Crystal became the first female country artist to achieve platinum sales status, the album included the international country and pop smash “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.”

They have put out a CD, and do live shows, where you can see them singing TV and movie themes such as "Charles in Charge" and the "Six Million Dollar Man." They also do songs with talking toys - that's right, four grown men who still play with dolls action figures.
